Come and visit the Tip of the Thumb Heritage Water Trail along our coast. It's perfect for paddlers to see the natural outcroppings of in Lake Huron.
The Thumb Area Great Lakes State Bottomland Preserve lies just off the coast and is ideal for a guided dive.
See the sawmill chimney at Stafford County Park in Port Hope.
Other area historic sites include Huron City Museums, nine miles north of Port Hope. 11 buildings from the early lumber town are open for guided tours during July and August.
The Pointe Aux Barques Lighthouse in Lighthouse County Park is just six miles north of Port Hope, and offers one of the few lighthouses accessible without a boat. Visit the display in the keeper's home or camp beneath the light of the beacon.
