VILLAGE OF PORT HOPE

REGULAR MEETING  6/8/09

Meeting called to order at 8 p.m. with Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag being recited.

Roll call of members present:   Greg Gephart, Gene Schuett,  Chris Gust, Arnold Eggert, Jim Hunter, Roy Reinke

Guests present:   Jean Baker, Tony Gephart, Linda Holland, Phyllis Will, Dean Smith, Ray Ferensic.

Moved by Chris Gust to approve the agenda.  Supported by Roy Reinke.  Motion carried.

Moved by Jim Hunter to approve minutes of 5/11/09 regular meeting.  Supported by Greg Gephart.  Motion carried.

Moved by Jim Hunter to pay bills of $12,643.81.   Supported by Greg Gephart.  Motion carried.

Moved by Gene Schuett to have Street Committee determine areas of need in the Village for repair to sidewalks and to report at July Meeting.  Instructed Mayor to get bids.   Supported by Chris Gust.   Motion carried.

Moved by Greg Gephart to instruct Village Clerk to send a letter of Nuisance Ordinance Violation to property owner  at 4518 Main and Gary Wilson who has an empty lot behind NorthShore Grocery.   Supproted by Gene Schuett.   Motion carried.

Grand Opening for Cabins in Stafford Park will take place June 25th.  Council members are invited to attend.

Moved by Jim Hunter to appoint Gene Schuett to represent the Village Council to work with Senior Housing Project in Port Hope.   Supported by Roy Reinke.  Motion carried.

Moved by Jim Hunter to hold a Public Hearing on July 13, 2009 at 7:30 p.m.  regarding National Flood Insurance Program.   Supported by Greg Gephart.   Motion carried.

Linda Holland, Stafford Park Manager, and Phyllis Will, Stafford Park Resident, presented issues regarding the Pier needing repair.   Gene Schuett will present the issue to the Road Commission as this is a County Park project.

Moved by Chris Gust to adjourn.   Supported by Roy Reinke.   Motion carried.
